Michael J. Bartlett

Attorney Biography

Michael J. Bartlett is an attorney in the Los Angles office.  He specializes in construction defect, environmental and toxic tort coverage litigation, and defense of breach of contract and bad faith claims.  Mr. Bartlett also has extensive experience in defending health care providers in professional liability, corporate negligence and premises liability cases, having previously worked for the a large Southern California medical malpractice defense firm for five years.

Mr. Bartlett received his B.A. from the University of New Hampshire in 1992 and his J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law in 1995.  Mr. Bartlett is a member of the California State Bar and is admitted to practice in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States District Courts for the Central District of California, Southern District of California and Northern District of California.

Mr. Bartlett served for three years on active duty in the United States Army and 19 years in the United States Army Reserve, retiring at the rank of Captain.  For the last ten years in the military, Mr. Bartlett worked as a Judge Advocate General, providing legal assistance and counseling to active duty, reserve and retired military members and their dependents.
